I’m Jennifer Knight-Mason, earth explorer, artist, storyteller, and co-founder of Earth Explorer Pro. At my core, I’m creative by nature and human by instinct.
I love people, their stories, contradictions, resilience, humour, and the invisible threads that connect us across cultures, borders, and time.
My work lives at the intersection of travel, history, culture, creativity, and human connection, where landscapes carry memory, and every place tells a story if you’re willing to slow down and listen.
Jennifer Knight- Mason was born in Caracas, Venezuela, a city alive with colour, rhythm and warmth. At the age of five, my world shifted when my family moved to the UK, settling in Exeter. That early crossing of continents planted something deep within me: a sense of belonging everywhere and nowhere, and a lifelong curiosity about how place shapes identity.
From a young age, creativity was my language. I was always observing, making, questioning, trying to understand the world not just as it appears, but as it feels. I studied Art at college in Kent, before going on to study Fine Art at university, where I learned that creativity isn’t just about making things, it’s a way of thinking, seeing, and relating. Art taught me how to hold complexity, how to notice detail, and how to tell stories that live beyond words.
After university, exploration became my classroom.
I travelled extensively through Europe and the Middle East, moving across ancient trade routes, industrial landscapes, sacred spaces, coastlines, and deserts. I walked through cities shaped by empires and revolutions, listened to stories passed down through generations, and learned that history is never distant; it’s embedded in streets, rituals, architecture, and everyday life.
I love conversations that start casually and end somewhere profound. I love listening more than speaking. I love shared meals, unexpected kindness, and the way people open up when they feel truly seen. Travel, for me, has never been about distance; it’s about connection.
It was through this life of exploration that I met my life partner, Gary, my grounding force, intellectual equal, and fellow explorer. Together, we are the co-founders of Earth Explorer Pro, a project born from our shared belief that the world deserves deeper attention and that travel can be a powerful tool for learning, empathy, and transformation when done with intention.
Why I, Jennifer Knight-Mason, just love to explore the world
Because places are alive.
Because history isn’t behind us, it’s under our feet, in our buildings, in our bodies, and in our collective memory.
Because the planet doesn’t need more spectators, it needs people who care enough to learn.
Exploration, for me, is not about escape, achievement, or collecting experiences. It’s about the relationship with land, with culture, with people, and with ourselves. It’s about slowing down long enough to understand what a place has been, what it is now, and what it might become.
